About Us

Haringey Families is a non profit-making organisation set up to provide activities, events and services for the families who live in or around Haringey in North London. While most of our events take place in Crouch End and Muswell Hill, our members come from throughout the borough and neighbouring Camden, Barnet and Islington. The organisation has been running since 1963. Currently there are around 800 members. We arrange about 50 events a year. Above all, it is a very friendly and informal organisation, run entirely by volunteers.

Being a member is a great way to get to know people living locally, and to get more out of living in the area. We aim to provide things of interest to families of all different ages, and so – whatever your family situation – you would be very welcome!

We have three landmark events a year, the Summer Fun Day, the Easter Party and the Halloween Party. Hundreds of Haringey children come to these parties and have a great time.

Haringey Families also organises several events each month. The majority of these are planned with children in mind, but we do also run some adult events too. Recent events have included tours of the Arsenal and Wembley football stadiums, a tour of the CBBC studios, fun food workshops for children, parenting courses, animal encounters, and discounted tickets to West End theatre shows such as Joseph, Lord of the Rings and We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. Regular events include our monthly Nearly New Sales and our popular Friday Toddler Group.

Full details of upcoming events are published in the Haringey Families newsletter and on the website.
